The Forage chopper machine are not only used for Silage Process, but also for dry forage chopping. like Hay and Corn Straw. By adjusting the knifes length, it can make good grass feed with various length. Thus the feed is ok for both big cow and small cowboy.
Why Silage process is necessay for cow farm ?
Silage has the reputation of “canned grass”. It is juicy and palatable, with sour smell, high digestibility and rich nutrition. It is the best feed for cattle, sheep and other livestock.
Silage is a feed made by controlled fermentation. we do the silage process, chop the grass along with a variety of sorghum and it is mixed, then we crush it and add inoculant and molasses, cover it well with oxygen-proof plastic, and wait a minimum of 45 days, but, the ideal is 60 days to be able to start feeding the cows.
We chop sorghum grass and if you want corn too, but there are more legumes in the region that can also be added to the silo, so we only chop a few of each thing so that it falls mixed.

The Forage Chopper Machine is installed with Stainless Steel conveyor belt, which can feed in automaticlly and safely. You just need to put the Corn Straw and Forage Grass on the belt, it will feed in uniformly and quickly.
It conveys the forage materials to the crushing chamber , and be crushed by high-rotating hammer interacts with the kneading board .
The crushed materials will be thrown out of the room by the blowing fan. The feeding hopper is equipped with a multi-hole spray device, which can adjust the moisture content and the degree of crushing of the material.

What is the size of forage after chopping ?
The HZC-5 Forage Chopper is designed with two pair of Cutting Blades. Blade one is long chopping blades, which chop grass to short length frequently. The short grass will be conveyed to second blades. They will crush the grass sufficiently to tiny pieces. the two pair of blades cooperate together and chop the corn straw with high productivity. The processed corn grass are soft and non-hardened, which improves the palatability of livestock and makes the feed utilization rate reach 100%.
What Engine option are available ?
The Forage Chopper is installed with electric motor. If the Silage process is remote and not able to use electricity, we can install with Diesel engine and Gasoline engine.

How to feed corn forage to the machine ?
