Project Description
HZC-5 Forage Chopper Machine can chop Cow Forage, Corn Straw, Forage Grass, herbs, Hays, Legume and Grass to small pieces for Cattle , Sheep effectively.
After chopping, the forages are about 1-2cm and easy to feed animals. To make it available to use at farms and romote places, the HZC-5 Forage Chopper can use both 220v Single phase electricity and 380V Three phase electricity.
If your farm has no electricity, we can install Diesel engine for the machine.
What is forage?
Grasses and legumes fed to animals in the form of:
Pasture: Cows harvest feed themselves by going out and eating grasses or legumes that grow in pastures.
Hay: Farmers cut grasses and legumes in the field, let them dry, and then bale them for feeding at a later date.
Silage: Farmers cut grasses and legumes, chop them while still moist, and put them in silos to ferment so they can be preserved (like the canned foods we eat).
Forages are especially important for ruminant animals like cows. They are the major source of the fiber which cows need to stay healthy. Forages, especially legumes, provide lots of protein, too.
Is it a grass or a legume?
Legumes are plants that form seeds in pods, like peas. They have broad leaves and colorful, prominent flowers. They ‘fix,’ or make their own ‘fertilizer’ from nitrogen in the air. Generally they are higher in protein than grasses.
Grass plants typically have narrow leaves; hollow, jointed stems; and flowers at the top of the plant that become seed heads. Grasses are an excellent source of fiber for dairy cows.
Application
After buy the Forage Chopper, Farmers can feed animals with freshly cut forage any time. If feed about 40 cows, 80 sheep, the HZC-5 model is suitable. if you have more than 80 cows, 160 sheep, the HZC-8 Forage chopper is more suitable.
The Forage Chopper can work for livestock farm to prepaer feed for cattle, sheep, goats, and other herbivorous livestock. it can also ensure high-quality silage or green fodder for dairy cows. What’s more, it will work formass production of processed forage for sale or storage
What is the advantages of the Forage Chopper
It has Stainless Steel conveyor belt, which can feed in automaticlly and safely. You just need to put the Corn Straw and Forage Grass on the belt, it will feed in uniformly and quickly.
Then it conveys the forage materials to the crushing chamber , and crush the corn straw with by high-rotating hammer interacts . The crushed materials will be thrown out of the room by the blowing fan. The feeding hopper has a multi-hole spray device, which can adjust the moisture content and the degree of crushing of the material.

The use of fresh green forage for feeding high-yield dairy cattle can increase milk yield while at the same time reducing production costs.

Pictures of the Forage Chopper Machine
Front two wheels are universal Wheel , which can to move conveniently with 360° direction
Back two wheels are big tyres, which is more durable and easy to move .
Safe Air Switch to ensure safety and operate easier
Metal Conveyor Belt to feed in Forage automaticlly and safely
there are two pairs of Durable Cutting blades: Cutting Blades to cut Forage to short pieces
Toothed Blades will crush the short pieces to silkiness . thus the crushed forage can feed both Cow and other smaller animals, like sheep, pig , goats etc.
Chopping length adjustable. You can put the handle at Length to chop forage with high efficiency. Put at Short you will chop forage for small animals.
