Water Your Garlic In Time After Planting is important for Garlic Growing.
Don’t forget to water your garlic after planting, if you’re not going to get any rain. Roots need water to grow.  And a good soaking just after planting helps to settle the soil around the clove and stimulates the roots to grow. Without water, the cloves will lay dormant and may freeze before roots are established, leading to the cloves dying before germination in the Spring.
We plant Garlic with the DGG-5 Gasoline Engine Garlic Seeder for our small garlic field.  It can plant 1-2 acrea garlic with only one person effectively.
Then we water the garlic in time after planting , for 6-8 hours soaking .  then cover plastic film to keep warm and control weeds.     The Garlic will germinate after one week.  We help the garlic to go out of the plastil film .  After that, the Main planting work is done.
You can also soak your cloves just prior to planting, soak for at least a couple of hours and up to overnight. Water alone will stimulate root growth, but you can also add kelp for a boost. We avoid fish fertilizer or other high nitrogen fertilizers because we’re not looking to stimulate any green growth.
